“Announcement of Info Day: ‘Invasive Alien Species – A Threat to Biodiversity'”

The DANUBEcare team invites you to attend the Info Day titled “Invasive Alien Species – A Threat to Biodiversity”, organized by the Institute of Food Technology (FINS) and the Faculty of Sciences, University of Novi Sad (UNSFS), with support from the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia.

The goal of this event is to raise awareness and spread information about invasive species in Europe, neighbouring countries, and Serbia, with special attention to the invasive crayfish Faxonius limosus. The event seeks to highlight the importance of biodiversity conservation and the challenges that invasive species pose to local ecosystems. Through lectures and discussions, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the latest scientific research and innovative methods applied to mitigate the negative impacts of these species.

The Info Day will take place on October 30, at the Rectorate building, Amphitheatre R-4 (ground floor), from 12:00 to 14:30
