DANUBEcare at 11th Memorial Scientific Conference on Environmental Protection “Dr Milena Dalmacija” (1-4 April 2024)

A DANUBEcare team member Dr. Vesna Vasić participated in the 11th Memorial Scientific Conference on Environmental Protection “Docent Dr. Milena Dalmacija”, which was held from 1 to 4 April 2024, at the University of Novi Sad, Novi Sad, Serbia.

The meeting was organized by the Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Environmental Protection of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, University of Novi Sad, the “Dr. Milena Dalmacija” Foundation, the SmartWaterTwin Horizon Europe project, and the BEuSED project of the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia.

During the conference, Dr. Vesna Vasić presented the research results obtained within the DANUBEcare project. She introduced the participants to the project’s goals and presented the initial findings from testing the shells of crayfish Faxonius limosus as a biosorbent for removing heavy metal ions from water.
