The event featured expert presentations, with Dr. Mladen Horvatović and Dr. Aleksandar Bajić shedding light on the impact of invasive species, particularly the spiny-cheek crayfish, on local ecosystems and biodiversity. Dr. Ivana Čabarkapa showcased innovative approaches for transforming these invasive species into sustainable resources, turning environmental threats into creative opportunities. In addition, Dr. Slađana Rakita introduced the Invasive Alien Species Europe mobile application as an effective tool to engage citizen scientists in monitoring and tracking invasive species.
