Become a Citizen Scientist
What is Citizen Science?
Citizen Science aims to create a bridge between the scientific community and the general public, actively engaging citizens in various research projects. This collaborative approach allows citizen scientists to work alongside experts, actively contributing to the expansion of scientific knowledge. Their involvement extends to addressing local, national, and global issues that require scientific input, with the potential to influence policymaking.
By embracing the role of a citizen scientist, individuals not only aid in the protection of European native biodiversity but also make meaningful contributions to science, develop new skills, and engage in outdoor activities. The inclusivity of citizen science is highlighted, as anyone, regardless of occupation, age, or location, can participate – all that’s required is a passion for nature and a willingness to get involved.
